U18 Bhutan National Baseball Team Camp

The Bhutan Baseball and Softball Association will be conducting a two-day U18 National Baseball Team Camp from February 1-2 at the Motithang Higher Secondary School sports ground.

"I really like the potential of a lot of our younger teenage players and we wanted to give these kids the opportunity to receive some elite training," said Marvin Moore, BBSA International Coach. "It will take many, many years for our Bhutanese coaches to train players to compete at the international level so it's important to get these kids in the national team program."

Besides learning elite fundamentals, national team players are also being taught the strategic aspects of the game that Bhutanese coaches do not understand since they never played the game.

"Baseball is a sport that requires solid fundamentals and a vast understanding of the game," added Moore. "The field is also a classroom because the kids are being taught more than just throwing, fielding, and hitting. They are also learning about all the different situations that occur in baseball, and what to do in each particular situation."

The BBSA is recruiting boys and girls (ages 6-15) who want to learn how to play baseball and softball. CLICK HERE to register today!
