Bhutan National Baseball Team Joins Adult League

The Bhutan National Baseball Team will be competing in the MyBhutan Men's Baseball League, which is slated to debut next fall. The national team will consist of players ages 16 to 25 and will be trained by BBSA International Coach, Marvin Moore.

"This is a great opportunity for the best young baseball players in Bhutan to get some experience," said Moore. "We will be training throughout the year and our goal is to win the championship of the adult league."

The American coach stayed mostly on the sidelines during the RICB 18U Bhutan Amateur Baseball League this year in order to not overshadow the Bhutanese coaches. But he has been itching to start developing elite ballplayers.

"It's a balancing act for me because developing quality coaches is just as important as developing talented players," added Moore. "The coaches are making good progress and it is crucial for the game to grow in Bhutan for me to develop quality baseball and softball coaches. But the national team will allow me to teach the coaches how to develop a team and have some fun at the same time."
