Why did you choose to work with the Bhutan Baseball and Softball Association?
Since the BBSA is a newly formed association, and I am a fresh graduate with a sports background, I felt that I can play a part in developing the baseball association with my knowledge and lessons learned from my courses. I find the BBSA to be a platform for me to be an inspiration to the youth.
What life experiences helped shape your decision to coach youth?
The friendliness, joy, and smiles on the faces of the kids during my teaching practice in Thimphu helped me to shape my decision to coach youth.
What do you find is the most challenging aspect of the game of baseball?
I find teaching hitting to players one of the most challenging aspects of the game of baseball. Hitting requires hand-eye coordination, good judgment, and distance and speed calculation to hit the ball perfectly.
What has been your most rewarding moment as a youth coach?
To see a good change in the personalities and behaviors of youth students. The beautiful stories the kids shared expressing how much they enjoy the game was also one of my most rewarding moments as a youth coach.
