15U BABL Championship Game on July 8

Taba LSS will battle Dechencholing HSS for U15 Championship

The Bhutan Baseball and Softball Association (BBSA) will host the first-ever 15U Bhutan Amateur Baseball League (BABL) Championship on Friday, July 8, at Changlimithang Football Stadium in Thimphu.

Dechencholing Higher Secondary School (DHSS), which finished the regular season with an unblemished 7-0 record, will battle Taba Lower Secondary School (TLSS) for the BABL title.

Bhutan Unit Chief Andrew Ou of the U.S. Embassy New Delhi will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the start of the game.

The league is sponsored by Nangyi Aum Restaurant and consisted of five schools - Dechencholing HSS, Taba LSS, Changangkha Middle Secondary School, Thimphu Primary School, and Druk School.

The 15U BABL consisted of a regular season and playoffs, and games were played during weekends with an official game being seven innings. The league lasted nearly six months due to Covid-19 and lockdown.
