Girls Youth Softball Coming to Bhutan

The Bhutan Baseball and Softball Association (BBSA) will be unveiling a new girls softball program in 2023 with four different leagues. The BBSA is currently recruiting girls (ages 6-15).

The new leagues are 8U, 10U, 12U, and 15U. The 8U girls will bat off a tee, while the 10U girls will be a coach-pitch league. Both the 12U and 15U leagues will be fastpitch softball.

All softball leagues will have spring, summer, and fall games with each team playing a combined 18 games during the 2023 season.

"We are excited to give the girls a chance to learn a new sport and stay physically active at the same time," said Tshering Zangmo, BBSA Softball Head Coach.
