Bhutan: Youth Baseball Leagues Debuting in 2023

The Bhutan Baseball and Softball Association (BBSA) will be introducing a variety of youth baseball leagues in 2023. The BBSA is currently recruiting boys (ages 6-13) for the upcoming baseball season.

The leagues slated for next year includes 8U, 10U, 12U, and 15U. The 8U boys will bat off a tee, while the 10U boys will be a coach-pitch league. Both the 12U and 15U leagues will use youth pitchers.

"These new youth leagues will help grow the game of baseball in Bhutan and we are excited about not only teaching the boys how to play the game, but to compete on the international stage in the years to come," said Sanjeevan Raj Gurung, BBSA baseball coach.

All baseball leagues will have spring, summer, and fall games with each team playing a combined 18 games during the 2023 season.
