Bhutan: Softball Training for Thimphu Girls
The BBSA will introduce softball training to Thimphu-area students.
The Bhutan Baseball and Softball Association(BBSA) will be introducing softball training in September to Thimphu-area students.
The grassroots softball training will start in three different schools - Dechencholing HSS, Taba LSS, and Changangkha MSS.
"I feel like giving equal opportunities to girls is most important in this world and being a woman, I don't like staying behind watching boys playing," said Tshering Zangmo, BBSA Softball Head Coach.
The BBSA strives to provide an equal platform for boys and girls to both participate in diamond sports.
The BBSA is the national governing body for baseball and softball in Bhutan, and is a member of the Bhutan Olympic Committee and the World Baseball Softball Confederation.
