Bhutan Baseball: Thimphu Red Pandas Blank Loselling School

Thimphu Baseball Club shutout Loselling Middle Secondary School to remain unbeaten in the RICB 18U Men’s Baseball League.

THIMPHU - Dorji Rinchen hit a clutch three-run blast and Dechencholing Higher Secondary School scored five runs in the final frame to rally past Royal Bhutan Bodyguard, 16-15, in the first game of a tripleheader Sunday in the Royal Insurance Corporation of Bhutan 18U Men's Baseball League at the Motithang Higher Secondary School sports ground.

Rinchen knotted the score at 15-15 with a home run over the right field wall. Shacha Yoezer, who had three RBIs, ended the game with a walk-off RBI single.

Taba Lower Secondary School was credited with a 9-0 victory in the second matchup when Druk School forfeited the game due to a lack of players.

Thimphu Baseball Club remained unbeaten with a lopsided 15-0 win against Loselling Middle Secondary School in a contest that was much closer than the final score indicated. Loselling - one of the youngest teams in the league, trailed 4-0 after three innings of play.

Thimphu right fielder Pelchen Dorji drove in three runs to pace the Red Pandas.
