A Generous Partnership: BBSA Thanks Bob Fregolle Jr. for His Support

[Thimphu, Bhutan] – The Bhutan Baseball and Softball Association (BBSA) is thrilled to extend our deepest gratitude to a remarkable champion of our cause, Mr. Bob Fregolle Jr., whose generous support is directly fueling the growth of our 2025 youth programs and energizing our mission to grow opportiunities in the Land of the Thunder Dragon.

Robert (Bob) L. Fregolle, Jr.

Bob’s story is one of a lifelong love affair with baseball. After a distinguished 35 year career as Chief Sales Officer at the Procter & Gamble Company, which took him across the globe for nearly two decades, he turned his passion into his profession. He is now the Operating Partner and co-owner of the Daytona Tortugas, the Single-A Affiliate of the prestigious Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball.

It was this global perspective and a deep seated belief in the power of youth sports that led Bob to our doorstep. During a visit to Bhutan in March 2025, he proactively reached out to the BBSA to learn more about our journey. This initiative stems from a rich history of fostering the game internationally, most notably through his work founding the Guangzhou (China) Youth Baseball League in the early 2000s. He didn't just come as a tourist; he came as a builder, asking one simple but powerful question: "How can we help?"

That question has since transformed into direct, meaningful action. Thanks to Bob's incredible generosity, we are able to significantly enhance our 2025 youth initiatives, from our youth leagues and grassroots development clinics to our summer camps. This support has provide critical resources that allow us to reach more children, improve coaching, and ensure that every participant has a memorable and formative baseball and softball experience.

We were, and continue to be, humbled by Bob's assessment of our efforts. He shared with us:

"I can’t tell you how impressed we are with the creativity, efforts, and dedication of all those spreading the good word of baseball to The Kingdom. From self learning aspects of the game via YouTube to your international trip to New York with the Hudson Valley Renegades to the dedication of your coaches and enthusiasm of your players, we’re so impressed and want to further help in any way we can."

To have a seasoned professional and visionary like Bob recognize the passion of our coaches and the enthusiasm of our players is an incredible validation. His words affirm that the spirit of baseball transcends borders that the crack of the bat sounds the same in Bhutan as it does in Daytona, and the love for the game is a universal language.

Bob Fregolle Jr. represents the very best of the global baseball community. His belief in our mission and his tangible investment in our 2025 programs are a catalyst for our future. It fuels our determination and strengthens our resolve to provide every young athlete in Bhutan with the opportunity to experience the joy, discipline, and camaraderie of baseball and softball.

On behalf of every player, coach, and volunteer at the Bhutan Baseball and Softball Association, Thank You, Bob. Your partnership inspires us, and we are excited for the future we will build together.

As Bob so aptly put it, "The future is bright for the youth and baseball and softball in Bhutan!"
