U18 Bhutan National Softball Team Camp

The Bhutan Baseball and Softball Association will be conducting a three-day U18 National Softball Team Camp from January 25-27 at the Motithang Higher Secondary School sports ground.

"We have a group of young ladies who are hungry to improve their softball skills, and it's a treat for me to see how dedicated these softball players have become in a short time," said BBSA International Coach Marvin Moore.

The BBSA is working closely with the World Baseball Softball Confederation to bring a Japanese softball pitching coach to Bhutan for a few weeks to teach Bhutanese players the fundamentals of fastpitch softball.

"I think once our girls learn how to pitch the softball the same way they do at the international level, softball in Bhutan will really blossom into a sport that can compete against neighboring countries," explained Tshering Zangmo, BBSA Softball Program Coordinator. "Our girls have fallen in love with the game and are excited to keep improving their skills".

Besides learning elite fundamentals, national team players are also being taught the strategic aspects of the game that will allow them to compete well on the international stage.

The BBSA is recruiting boys and girls (ages 6-15) who want to learn how to play baseball and softball. CLICK HERE to register today!
