RICB 18U League: Thimphu BC Tops Dechencholing HSS

Thimphu Baseball Club remained unbeaten in the Royal Insurance Corporation of Bhutan 18U Men’s Baseball League with a 21-13 victory Sunday against Dechencholing Higher Secondary School in the second game of a doubleheader at the Motithang Higher Secondary School sports ground.

Dechencholing HSS was led by Dechen Nidup and Lhap Tshering. Nidup struck out 11 hitters in a strong performance on the mound, and Tshering connected for a home run and finished the game with five RBIs.

Royal Bhutan Bodyguard defeated Changangkha Middle Secondary School, 11-1, in the first game of the twinbill.

The league is sponsored by Royal Insurance Corporation of Bhutan and co-sponsors are Number 7 Olakha, First Floor Restaurant and Bar, Hutah Dairy, and Hayate.

The BBSA is the national governing body for baseball and softball in Bhutan, and is a member of the Bhutan Olympic Committee and the World Baseball Softball Confederation.
