18U BABL Celebrating Opening Day on August 27

The 18U BABL Starts on August 27 at Loselling MSS.

The Bhutan Baseball and Softball Association (BBSA) first-ever 18U Bhutan Amateur Baseball League (BABL) will celebrate its Opening Day on Saturday, August 27, at Loselling Middle Secondary School.

The 18U BABL will consist of seven teams that will play a six-game regular season schedule. The playoffs will begin on Sunday, October 16, with the regular season champion facing the fourth-place squad, and the second-place and third-place teams battling for the remaining finals spot.

The championship game will take place on Friday, November 11, during the first annual Bhutan Baseball Day.

The participating teams include Thimphu Red Panda Baseball and Softball Club, Taba Lower Secondary School, Loselling Middle Secondary School, Druk School, Dechencholing Higher Secondary School, Royal Bhutan Bodyguard, and Changgangkha Middle Secondary School.

The top players in the 18U BABL will compete in an All-Star Game on Saturday, October 15.

The BBSA is the national governing body for baseball and softball in Bhutan, and is a member of the Bhutan Olympic Committee and the World Baseball Softball Confederation.
